(Especially) In web3 and the tech world, as women, we need to boost each other up, we need to come together and make sure we help each other out. I think it’s our duty and privalidge to walk into this new web3 and NFT world, and be groundbreakers.
Vanessa, aka Veepo, is the artist and co-founder of Badass women, empowering women with mental health and wellness.
She is also a trained opera singer, voice teacher, mother, wife of WGMI.io co-founder @DeejayDezza, and most importantly, a Badass Woman.
Vanessa and Alyssa’s (the other co-creator of Badass Women) journey into NFTs was unique.
Their husbands, owners of WGMI.io (a personal NFT portfolio tracker), introduced them to the NFT world, and since then, they realised that by building an NFT community, they could make a real difference.
They created Badass Women to help fund breast cancer research with their art with 50% of the mint profit going back to fund breast cancer research.
Badass Women NFT also provides access to their Discord group, a place designed to offer community and support to all who need it. In their Discord, they have a variety of channels, including breast cancer support, mental health, and stress management.
Their motto: “When Badass Women come together, they can change the world.”
“We need to make sure we come together and help each other out, women are community-driven and nurturers; when we boost each other up, we all win.
That's why I love women in this space because they want to make an impact"
Throughout the podcast, we also spoke heavily about confidence; “You have to look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I am a badass, and I can do this."
